A UK survey by Telindus suggests that 40% of Gen Ys would quit their job if their employer tried to stop personal use of workplace technology.
Questioning a sample of 1000 Gen Ys the research shows that 80% use social networking sites, 63% download music and almost 60% watch YouTube videos while at work.

In case you were still ‘uuming’ and ‘aaahhing’ about whether online is a serious stakeholder domain, the latest Nielsen Online poll shows Australians are spending around 13.7 hours per week surfing the net, while average TV viewing time was about 13.3 hours per week. Australia’s internet participation has reached maturity at around 80%.
