CEO warning; who owns your name domain?

22 August 2008 540 views No Comment

Over on my PR Disasters blogsite, which monitors outbreaks of reputational threats online and off, I’ve just posted on the story of a CEO whose name was hi-jacked and used as a web domain by disgruntled employees. United Airline CEO Glenn Tilton was targeted online by employees who digitally put on record and display why they felt he ‘had to go’. And remember, this site (and exec appraisal) stays on digital record eternally!
Note to PR’s; have you protected and fenced off your exec teams’ name domains?
